Nadine Gay
Painter, Sculptor
I was born in France, came to New York in the mid-seventy’s and graduated from
Pratt Institute in 1980. I moved permanently to San Miguel in 2022.
I have shown extensively in the U.S while teaching art through a wide spectrum
of programs and designing large installations in the community.
I love to combine materials to create mixed media assemblages.
I work in an intuitive way. What gets revealed over time, when I look at a body of
my work, is often unexpected. This playful conversation between my dreams,
images and the materials at hand feels deeply satisfying. Stories emerge, the
child in me delights in what comes to life.
