My name is Chris Standora. I am originally from New York City, but I am now retired from my position as a state bureaucrat and spend my time pursuing my passion for art as a permanent resident here in San Miguel de Allende.
My main interest is portraiture and the human figure, but I also enjoy painting landscapes and the occasional still life. Once in a while I paint a pet. I work mainly in oil, but sometimes I wander into projects in pastel, charcoal, ink or acrylic, each of which has its own unique charms.
My work is held in various private collections, primarily in the United States. I have also exhibited at the Upfront Gallery (Port Jervis, New York), the Winchester-Dondero and Priscilla Fowler Galleries (Las Vegas, Nevada), and various group workshop exhibitions. I am excited to share my pieces here at Galeria 69.
