Papier-mâché Sculptures, Acrylic paintings and recycled wearable clothes

Capturing the beauty of life through my love of

Art, Music, Fashion, and Food.

I ran away from home in 2015 with three 50

pound suitcases and a 7-pound dog, Bailey. Left a

33-year marriage to strike out on my own. I didn’t

know anyone, nor speak the language. I retired

from working as a Hospice Social Worker for

decades, and decided it was time to start living

life in a new, more exciting way.

During my first year I picked up a few canvases and

some colorful paints. My best friend in the States

was getting ready for her first grandchild and

asked me to paint her a few animal paintings for

her home nursery. That was the start of my

painting career. I think she paid me $50.00 a

piece.

Then after dabbling a little in paint, I began

making so many new friends and just enjoying all

of the various activities here in SMA. Put the

paints away.

Then 2020 hit the world like a ton of bricks! I

started thinking of things I could try and make

from around the house. Learned about

homemade papier mâché, and also pulled out

some left over canvases and paints. Throw in a

borrowed sewing machine and I was off creating

redesigned clothes and learned about fabric

painting as well.

Anyway, my hope and prayer is to have people

experience my work and it makes them smile.
